What is a Shakti Mat?

The Shakti Acupressure Mat is a daily self-care tool based on the Indian bed of nails. Contrary to popular belief, beds of nails have been used as a relaxation aid for 5,000 years. Thousands of sharp spikes apply pressure to skin and muscles supporting restful sleep, relaxation, mental clarity and well-being. Relax your mind & body in 20 minutes.

How Do I Use a Shakti Mat:

The most popular ways to use The Shakti Mat are on the neck, shoulders, back and legs, however your entire body can benefit. Simply let The Mat apply pressure to your body. You can use The Shakti Mat on its own in combination with The Shakti Acupressure Pillow.

Does It Hurt?

For most, The Shakti Mat hurts at first. This soon transforms into sensations of tingling, pulsating, and warmth. It takes a few minutes to get past the intensity and over the 'hump' before being left with a sense of calm, well-being, and restoration.

Our Shakti Mats are available in 3 different pressures: Light, Original, & Advanced.

The Shakti Mat Original is the most popular place to start. With 6,000 spikes, the intensity is suitable for first-timers all the way up to Shakti veterans. Choose from three colours: Black, Orange or Green.

The Shakti Mat Light is designed for those that are a little more sensitive. With 2,000 more spikes than the Original, The Shakti Light distributes weight across a greater area, softening the intensity. Available in: Yellow.

The Shakti Mat Advanced is designed for those who want a substantially more intense experience. With 2,000 less spikes than the Original, more weight is placed on each point, increasing the intensity. We recommend The Shakti Mat Advanced for people used to The Shakti Mat experience, or high grade athletes.
